Raiders’ Derek Carr credited with assist in finding missing Oakland child

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is still recovering from a broken leg, which means he’s probably scrolling through Twitter more often than he typically would.

Carr noticed a tweet regarding an Amber Alert issued for a missing Oakland child Cheap Goalkeeper Jerseys and gave it a simple retweet, giving the alert a wider audience to his nearly 250,000 followers on Twitter.

It didn’t take long before an Oakland citizen, who saw the alert, notified police about a vehicle with similar features. The 3-year-old child was found safe, and Oakland Police Lt. Chris Bolton credited Carr’s retweet as part of the reason why.

Omnisport reached out to Bolton, and he said the person who contacted him reached out via Twitter, which is why he credited Carr. Although he said he doesn’t know for sure if Carr was the direct reason.

The turnover bug bites New England again. Houston’s Akeem Dent forced a fumble Cheap Golden State Warriors Jerseys on New England RB Dion Lewis’ kickoff return, and the loose ball was recovered by Eddie Pleasant to give the Texans possession on the Patriots’ 12-yard line.

The Texans obviously would have liked to get more than three points off a rare Tom Brady turnover, but they were forced to take what they could get a 27-yard field goal from kicker Nick Novak. Houston’s six-play drive gained just 18 yards. At least the Texans were able to make it a one-score game. 14-6, Patriots.
